Miesha Theresa
Miesha Theresa Tate is an American mixed martial arts journalist. A former mixed martial artist, she had been a participant in the Ultimate Fighting Championship and is an ex- UFC Women's Bantamweight Champion. Her birthplace was in Tacoma and has been active from the time she was in high school. A recommendation was made by an acquaintance, when she was in Central Washington University she began to attend the mixed martial art team. She fought her first amateur match at the age of 20 years old against Elizabeth Posener who was a Muay Thai expert. Her debut as a professional fighter at the HOOKnSHOOT One-Night Women's Grand Prix, which took place in 2007. In two years she became the Women's Champion of the FCF for the first time. Tate was highly praised and applauded for her style of fighting, which incorporated Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and wrestling. Tate gained more attention when she won with the Strikeforce Women's Bantamweight Championship shortly after. Along with her mixed-martial sports career, she has a modeling career on different websites and publications such as "ESPN The Magazine" and "Fitness Gurls". For the EA Sports UFC video game, she is also a playable role.
